Park Shelter House Boat Launch Alden Park

Here is the beautiful dam that is located just outside of downtown Alden. It has wonderful fishing all year long, and the water is shallow enough you can even walk to the island below the dam as when the water is low, it is only knee deep! To the right in the picture below is the new portage the city is putting in. It allows canoers to bypass the dam and get out and go around the dam and get back in below the dam. So when in Alden, please put in a canoe below the dam at the new portage and check out the scenic views from right in the river!
