City of Alden, Buckeye, Popjoy Veteran's Memorial

The Veteran's Memorial was constructed and finished in July of 2008 in honor of the areas veterans. This memorial was put together by the Collins Dunning American Legion post 201 of Alden by a group of veterans and community members who formed a committee for one vision. To honor all the veterans Alden, Buckeye and Popejoy communities. The memorial was funded by American Legion Post 201 of Alden, and donations from community members. The stones feature the names of the veterans according to the war in which they were in, also at the bottom of the stones are the mottos of each branch of the armed services. At the Alden Library is a binder with all the names and everything that went together to make this memorial.
